Duro Shine Matte Finish 646 is a water-based polyurethane sealer. It's excellent for high-traffic areas where up until now an oil-based sealer was the only alternative. This product has high melt-point. That means while acrylic sealers are turning soft on hot days; 646 maintains it's integrity. It can be used as a sealer and decorative coating on slate, concrete, stamped concrete, clay, stone, masonry, paver tiles, brick and grout. It provides a semi-gloss, stain and water-resistant finish that gives more of a natural appearance to a stone or paver. It will, however, slightly darken the surface and add a matte to a semi-gloss glaze when fully sealed. If you are not sure of the use of this product for a given application; seek professional assistance.
DIRECTIONS:
When applying 646 first make sure the surface is clean and dry. Apply with a sponge, brush or roller. Be sure to work well into surface so sealer penetrates deep into pores. You will see the surface darken as it gets wet with sealer. After the surface dries, additional coats should be applied in same manner. Be sure to avoid puddling. When you apply the coat where the surface does not darken like it is getting wet; the surface is then sealed and we recommend one additional coat for safe keeping. When sealing ceramic tile grout with 646, be sure surface is clean and dry. Apply with a cloth or paper towel. Immediately buff off excess. If residue remains, wipe tiles with a water damp cloth or paper towel. Buff with dry cloth .
LIMITS: Do not use below 45 degrees F. Do no let 646 puddle or run down vertical surfaces. When testing for desired results be sure to allow 3 to 4 days for curing.
When used as directed one gallon of 646 MATTE FINISH will cover approximately 150 to 200 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on how porous the surface is. Let dry between coats. |
