Aqua Mix Sealers - Penetrating, Enhancing & High Gloss Sealers
Aqua Mix products include sealers for all types of materials including stone, tile, masonry, and concrete. With an extensive line of sealers that range from premium, top of the line sealers to economical sealers, there’s a great sealer for every budget and project. Aqua Mix sealers include penetrating sealers, topical sealers, and enhancers.
Available as water-based or solvent-based, Aqua Mix penetrating sealers are absorbed into the stone’s pores to provide an invisible barrier of protection against dirt, grime, and liquids. For extremely dense materials, like hard granite, a solvent-based Aqua Mix penetrating sealer will be the most effective at entering the material’s pores to provide a barrier. Remember, penetrating sealers will not protect from surface wear or physical damage such as etching caused by acidic liquids.
While all Aqua Mix penetrating sealers will protect against water-based stains, not all will protect from both water and oil-based stains. If you are sealing an area that may be exposed to oils such as cooking oil in kitchens or body oil in bathrooms, you want to find a sealer that offers maximum stain protection against both and water and oil-based stains. Aqua Mix premium sealers will not only last longer than economical sealers, they will also repel better. Both premium and economical sealers can still result in staining if the spill is not cleaned up in a timely manner.
Aqua Mix penetrating sealers are designed to leave a natural, no sheen finish that does not alter the appearance of the surface. An exception is for any penetrating sealer that is specifically an enhancing sealer as well.
Sealer's Choice Gold - Premium, water-based sealer for interior / exterior. Maximum Stain Protection.
Ultra-Solv - Premium, solvent-based sealer for interior / exterior. Maximum Stain Protection. VOC Restrictions.
Aqua Mix’s line of enhancing sealers have the same properties as traditional natural-look penetrating sealers, but will also darken the material to enrich and highlight the natural colors. Aqua Mix enhancing sealers still penetrate the pores of the material and will not give a shiny or glossy look. Aqua Mix enhancing sealers are great for natural stone that appears faded, washed out, or weathered.
Enrich'N'Seal - Premium, solvent-based enhancing sealer for interior / exterior. Maximum Stain Protection. VOC Restrictions.
Stone Enhancer - Premium, solvent-based enhancing sealer for interior / exterior. Excellent stain Protection. VOC Restrictions.
Aqua Mix Topical Sealers
Designed to sit on exterior surface of the material, Aqua Mix topical sealers are used to add a sheen or glossy finish that can’t be achieved with typical penetrating or enhancing sealers. Topical sealers are commonly composed of acrylic polymers, wax, or polyurethane. Not all Aqua Mix topical sealers can be used for exterior surfaces because they aren't designed to hold up to the elements.
Topical sealers will provide good protection against stains and general wear and tear of the material itself, but tend to easily show scuff marks, peel and flake, require more maintenance, and stripping for reapplication. Additionally, topical sealers are not suitable for all applications, such as in bathrooms or around pools, because they can become very slippery when wet. Some topical sealers are considered just finish sealers and will still need a penetrating used before application of the topical sealer.
Aqua Mix topical sealers work best on textured surfaces such as natural stone including slate, sandstone, quartzite, tumbled marble, and flamed granite. They also work well on manufactured surfaces that are rough or textured including clay pavers, terra cotta, Saltillo, quarry tile, cement pavers, and masonry.
Floor Shine & Hardener - Durable, high-sheen finish. Interior use only. Must seal surface with penetrating sealer first.
Seal & Finish Low Sheen - Low-shine finish. Water-based with acrylic polymers for interior / exterior.
